On 4/2/13, SATS hosted a sex trafficking awareness event that had a huge impact on the SCSU campus! We screened the documentary Nefarious and collected donations for locally trafficked victims. The theater was packed- every seat filled with people having to standing in the back! Almost 200 people showed up to the screening! We also dropped off multiple boxes of donations to be distributed to the women and girls surviving prostitution in our central MN area through the Central MN Human Trafficking Task Force. There is also a box located in the Women's Center (720 4th Ave. S.) to drop of future donations for the rest of the year!
A huge thanks to all who volunteered, donated and came out to the event! It was a great success!
